For initial audits, we typically conduct semi-announced visits (date confirmed but exact time not specified) to ensure factory operations are authentic yet key personnel are available. Follow-up and special audits may be unannounced depending on the audit purpose and buyer requirements.
What happens if a supplier fails the audit?
If a supplier doesn’t meet our minimum standards, we provide a detailed report of deficiencies and recommendations for improvement. The supplier can address the issues and request a re-audit after 30 days. We work collaboratively to help suppliers meet our standards rather than simply rejecting them.
How often do suppliers need to be re-audited?
Verified suppliers are re-reviewed to maintain their status on the platform. Additionally, we conduct follow-up audits if buyer complaints arise or if significant changes occur in the supplier’s operations. High-performing suppliers with excellent track records may qualify for extended audit intervals.
Can buyers request custom audits for specific suppliers?
Yes, Premium and Enterprise buyers can request special audits focused on specific aspects like production capacity for large orders, product-specific quality checks, or industry-specific compliance requirements. These custom audits are quoted based on scope and complexity.
Who conducts the audits?

Yes, verified buyers have access to comprehensive audit reports for all suppliers they’re considering or working with. Reports include scores, findings, photos, and recommendations. Sensitive supplier information is redacted to protect business confidentiality while maintaining transparency on key verification points.
What if a supplier disagrees with audit findings?
Suppliers can contest audit findings within 10 days of receiving the report. We review contested items with supporting evidence from both parties and may conduct a targeted re-inspection if warranted. Our goal is accuracy and fairness, not punitive measures.
